In one line: Opus Clip cuts long video into vertical shorts and publishes them for you; echoflow takes the same video and produces the whole family of content around it — transcript, subtitles, article, newsletter, posts, chapters and clips — spending that minute once. If you only need clips, Opus Clip is the more specialised tool. If video is the raw material for your entire editorial month, a clips-only tool leaves half the work on your desk.

The unit is the same, so the comparison is direct

Both charge one unit per minute of uploaded video, not per piece of content produced: we call it a minute, Opus Clip calls it a credit, but it is the same thing — a 60-minute podcast costs 60 balance minutes here and 60 credits there, whether it yields three clips or fifteen. That makes the two price lists directly comparable.

With Opus Clip's prices as of 31 October 2026, echoflow's Pro plan costs €19 a month for 200 minutes and Opus Clip's $29 a month for 300 credits. What differs is what the minute buys: clips on one side, clips plus the text around them on the other.

Where Opus Clip is stronger

Worth saying plainly, because it matters more than any other row:

  • It publishes and schedules for you. Connect your channels once: from Starter you post right

away, with Pro you schedule posts and they go out on their own at the time you set. echoflow doesn't, and won't: we don't ask for write access to your accounts.

  • Clip editing is their craft: an AI editor, automatic reframing that follows the subject,

templates with the brand's colours and logo — a wider editing feature set than ours.

  • They're far bigger than us. Their homepage claims over 20 million creators and businesses.

If your only question is "I want more shorts, scheduled", their product was built for exactly that.

Where echoflow differs

  • One upload, the whole month. The same file also yields an SEO article, a newsletter, posts for

each channel, YouTube chapters, show notes, carousels and quote cards.

  • The archive stays yours and compounds. Text content doesn't expire while the account stays active, and with the Pro plan the

versions you approve become examples (AI Memory) for the drafts that follow.

  • Support by email, in English or Italian.
  • Where the data goes is written down. Files and content are stored in the European Union;

transcription and AI generation also use providers outside the EU, named on our sub-processors page, under the safeguards of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR. Opus Clip states US servers.

  • Prices in euro. Final prices in euro, with no conversion, and secure payment with Stripe.

What echoflow does not do

For fairness, and because finding out after paying is worse:

  • No publishing or scheduling to your channels.
  • Clips are capped at 8 per video (3 during the trial): you choose how many, how long and how they're

framed, but you don't refine them one by one in an editor.

  • The free plan is a time-boxed trial (14 days, 60 minutes, no refill); Opus Clip's gives 60 credits

every month, watermarked. For a recurring free taste, they give you more room. And during our trial the subtitled video is watermarked too: it goes away when you pick a plan, but you should know before signing up.

  • Generated media files (clips, subtitled video, images) stay downloadable for 7 days; text

content doesn't expire while the account stays active.

Opus Clip prices and features taken from their public pages on 31 October 2026; echoflow's follow the price list in force since 24 October 2026. Pricing changes often: check the official pages before deciding.

Frequently asked questions

Is echoflow an alternative to Opus Clip?

For vertical clips, yes, with two limits worth knowing first: we cut up to 8 per video (3 during the trial) and they are not refined one by one in an editor, and we don't publish or schedule them to your channels. It makes most sense as an alternative when the same video also has to give you a transcript, subtitles, an article, a newsletter, posts and chapters: you pay for that minute of video once. If you only need shorts published automatically, Opus Clip remains the tool built for that.

If I already use Opus Clip, does echoflow replace it?

It depends what you need. If you only publish vertical shorts, Opus Clip does that job and is further ahead on clip editing. If the same video also has to give you an article, a newsletter, posts and chapters, echoflow charges that minute once instead of making you run two tools.

Why doesn't echoflow publish to social for me?

It's a choice, not a missing feature. Auto-publishing means storing access tokens for your channels: we don't ask for them and we don't keep them. We hand you text, media and preview ready to go; the last step stays yours.

Are the prices on this page current?

They were taken from the official pricing and help pages on 31 October 2026 and we re-check them quarterly. Pricing in this market moves often, so check the vendor's own page before deciding.
