In one line: Happy Scribe takes notes and transcribes; echoflow prepares what you publish. They meet at the audio or video file, but serve two different jobs: they hand you a transcript of what was said — a meeting or a file, with speakers labelled, in 150+ languages, done by a person if you need it — we hand you the content to publish that grows out of that speech. If what you need is an accurate record, their product fits better than ours, and there's no way to spin that differently.

They aren't the same product

Happy Scribe now presents itself with "AI notes for every meeting. Transcripts for every file.": it joins meetings on Zoom, Google Meet and Teams — and records in-person ones from the phone app —, transcribes them, identifies who is speaking and turns them into notes and summaries. Alongside that sits transcription of any audio or video file, with subtitles and translation.

echoflow doesn't join meetings. It starts from something you recorded in order to publish it: a video, a podcast, a webinar, a lecture — and produces the article, the newsletter, the posts, the chapters, the vertical clips and the images.

Put plainly: if the question is "what did we say on that call?", the answer is Happy Scribe. If the question is "what do I publish this week from that video?", the answer is echoflow.

Where Happy Scribe is stronger

On everything to do with transcription itself:

  • 150+ languages for AI transcription, against our output designed for Italian, English, Spanish,

French and German.

  • Speaker identification: we don't do it. On a two-voice interview or a panel, that difference

shows.

  • Human-made transcription, paid, in 65+ languages: to reach an accuracy AI alone doesn't

guarantee.

  • Meeting notes captured automatically from the main video-conferencing tools, with a free plan

that includes them.

  • Fuller compliance documentation: Irish company, data centre in the European Union, **SOC 2

Type II certification. On this ground they are ahead of us**, and it would be dishonest to present our Italian base as a security advantage.

  • A lower cost per minute than ours on the larger plans (6,000 minutes for €89 a month), plus

pay-as-you-go minutes for anyone who goes over their plan.

Where echoflow differs

  • The work after the transcript. A faithful text is the starting point, not the result: from here

come the SEO article, the newsletter, posts for each channel, YouTube chapters, show notes, carousels, quote cards and subtitled vertical clips.

  • Tone of voice. The outputs aren't cleaned-up transcripts: they're rewrites in the tone you set in

Brand Voice and, with Pro, modelled on the versions you approved.

  • Video as video. Vertical clips cut from the highlights and edited with

word-synced animated subtitles.

  • A searchable archive. AI Chat answers across the whole library citing video and minute;

semantic search for passages goes through the API and the connectors for AI assistants. All of it isolated per workspace.

  • Final prices in euro and secure payment with Stripe.

When using both makes sense

This isn't a pose: if you already use Happy Scribe for meeting notes, there's no reason to stop. The two products only overlap on the subset "I have a recorded video and I want to publish something from it", and that's where comparing them is worth the effort.

What echoflow does not do

  • No speaker identification and no human-made transcription.
  • No meeting integration: you start from an uploaded file or a link.
  • No publishing or scheduling to social: we don't ask for access to your channels and keep no

tokens.

  • Clips are capped at 8 per video (3 during the trial): you choose how many, how long and how

they're framed, but you don't refine them one by one in an editor.

  • Generated media files stay downloadable for 7 days; text content doesn't expire while the account stays active.

Frequently asked questions

Are these alternatives or complements?

In most cases they're complements, and that's worth saying. Happy Scribe is built for meeting notes and for a faithful transcript of what was said; echoflow starts from the speech in recorded content to produce what you publish. If your problem is an accurate record of a call, their product fits better than ours.

Which one transcribes better?

On pure transcription Happy Scribe is better equipped: more languages, speaker identification and the option of having a person do it. Our transcript is a step towards the final content, not the final product.

Is echoflow safer because it's Italian?

No, and we don't claim that. Happy Scribe is an Irish company with its data centre in the European Union and SOC 2 Type II certification: on compliance documentation they're ahead of us. Our difference is a product designed in Italian for people who publish, not a security advantage.

Are the prices on this page current?

They were taken from their official pages on 31 October 2026 and we re-check them quarterly. Check Happy Scribe's own pricing page before deciding.
